The Operating Room is made up of 7 General rooms, one Cysto room, and one Minor procedure room.
Staffed from 0700 till 1700 Monday-Friday with all other hours and days covered with a Call Crew.
Role Purpose Performs surgical duties for operating room procedures under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.
Prepares operating room for surgical patient, reviews preference cards to determine surgeon needs, obtains the necessary supplies and equipment for the procedure, ensures cleanliness of room, and assists with opening sterile supplies. Performs surgical scrub duties, and assists with the collection, identification, and disposition of cultures and specimens. Assists in turning over of room, and ensures supplies, instruments, and equipment are returned to proper location. Minimum Requirements Education High School Diploma or GED Experience <2 years or military equivalent experience Supervisor Experience No Experience Preferred Requirements Education Accred Surgical Program Licenses & Certifications Surgical Technician
