Emergency Medicine Physicians will manage a wide range of cases in a Level II trauma center. They will work in a collaborative environment with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine or primary care with ED experience. U.S.-trained and foreign-trained physicians are welcome, including those on H-1B and J-1 visas.
Physicians create their own schedules, typically working three 12-hour shifts one week and four the next. Flexible staffing options, including per diem and part-time schedules, are available. About Our Emergency Department:
Cary Medical Center is one of four rural hospitals in Aroostook County and has the highest Emergency Medicine volume in the region. The patient population is largely elderly, with cardiac and respiratory complaints comprising a significant portion of visits. Transfers most commonly include psychiatric, trauma, neurosurgical, and emergent cardiac cases.
Hourly pay, negotiable based on experience Partial health insurance coverage; full malpractice insurance coverage Up to $600/year for professional licensing and subscriptions Six weeks annual time for vacation, CME, sick leave, and holidays CME allowance up to $2,500/year Relocation assistance available Education loan repayment, typically paid in six-month increments over the life of the initial agreement
