Provide continuous nursing care, monitoring, and treatment for ICU and hospitalized patients. Collaborate with ER and specialty teams to assist doctors with diagnostics and emergency procedures.
Experience in emergency, ICU, or specialty veterinary practice is preferred. A CVT, LVT, or RVT credential is strongly preferred, though experienced non-credentialed technicians are encouraged to apply.
Veterinary Technician, ICU | $24–$31/hr + Shift Differentials | Full-Time Benefits | Days, Mids, or Overnights | South Deerfield, MA Compensation Non-Credentialed Veterinary Technician: $24–$30/hour Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT): $26–$31/hour VTS compensation is higher based on experience and specialty certification Shift Differentials: Swings (4:00pm–11:59pm): +$2/hour Overnights (6:00pm–6:00am): +$2.50/hour Schedule Full-time ICU Veterinary Technician schedules available: Overnights: Three 12-hour shifts 7:00pm–7:00am Rotational Schedule: Combination of: Days: 7:00am–7:00pm Mid: 1:00pm–1:00am Overnights: 7:00pm–7:00am Weekend Requirement: 50% weekend availability required Open to one weekend day per week OR rotating full weekends (both days on one weekend, both off the next)

Provide nursing care and continuous monitoring for ICU and hospitalized patients Obtain and record patient vitals, treatments, and assessments accurately Administer medications, fluids, and treatments as directed Assist doctors with diagnostics, emergency procedures, and treatment plans Monitor anesthesia and sedation recovery as needed Perform laboratory sample collection and patient restraint Operate and support advanced monitoring equipment Collaborate with ER, ICU, and Specialty teams to provide exceptional patient care Communicate effectively with doctors, technicians, and client care teams Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient treatment space
