About the role

Provides age-specific nursing care and functions as a primary scrub nurse during operative procedures. Responsibilities include managing sterile fields, preparing instruments, and collaborating with the surgical team to optimize patient outcomes.

Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.

Functions in accordance with the professional standards of the Ohio board of nursing.

Completes/submits required documentation.

Delivers effective relationship based nursing care.

Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.

Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations.

Develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing.

Displays leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes.

The Perioperative LPN Program may be the right choice for you!

This 10-12 week full-time paid program, is designed to teach LPNSs the scrub role in the Operating Room with the expectation of a long-standing career in an OR setting.

The Perioperative Program provides classroom lecture, skill development during mock surgeries and precepted clinical experiences that are integrated to facilitate your success.

Following successful program completion, orientation and training continues as you gain knowledge and skills in other clinical OR specialties.

This is a full time regularly-statused LPN position.

Next class starts July 13th!

Provide safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using nursing interventions in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.

Essential duties include: Provide patient care/function in a primary scrub position Assist with technical responsibilities in assigned operative procedures Assure appropriate instruments/supplies are present and in proper working condition Provide labeled medications with correct doses on the sterile field Perform other duties which support the operative team, includes following patient care hand off protocol Actively participate in the quality improvement process.

Qualifications

LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse IV certification required (unit depending). BLS cert. Completion of accredited practical nurse program or currently enrolled in nursing program.

Requires a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification and BLS certification. Candidates must have completed or be enrolled in an accredited practical nurse program.
