The Medical Assistant provides high-quality clinical support, including collecting vital signs and maintaining exam rooms. They also serve as a liaison to front desk staff and collaborate with physicians to ensure seamless patient care.
Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant and are preferred to have a certification and BLS certification. Proficiency in eClinicalWorks and Spanish language skills are also preferred.
About the Job As the first point of contact for patients at IMG, the Medical Assistant sets the tone for a positive and efficient care experience. This role encompasses both administrative and clinical responsibilities and requires a high level of ownership, initiative, and independent judgment. The Medical Assistant provides leadership by serving as the liaison to front desk patient care associates, promoting strong communication and operational alignment. All Medical Assistants are expected to gain proficiency in the practice.
The Medical Assistant is responsible for delivering high‑quality clinical support, including engaging with patients about their symptoms, collecting vital signs, maintaining clean and organized exam rooms, sterilizing equipment, and entering accurate documentation into the electronic medical record system. The MA works closely with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers to ensure seamless patient care and collaborates with the Practice Director to align daily tasks, administrative functions, and patient‑care priorities. Operating with broad autonomy, the Medical Assistant demonstrates advanced competency, contributes to workflow and process enhancements, and provides in‑depth education, guidance, and mentorship to peers. This role is essential in promoting excellence across the clinical team.
Mileage is reimbursed at the 2026 IRS standard rate.
Pay Range $19hr - $21hr The hourly rate is based on geographic location, related job experience, and medical knowledge.
