Surgical First Assistant (SFA)

• Assist the operating surgeon in the care of patient in surgery by performing selected duties.
• Provides direct and indirect technical care to surgical/obstetrical patients.
• Facilitates safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures.
• Follows established practices and standards.
• Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period.
• Other related duties as assigned.
