Assist clients with developmental disabilities in pursuing preferred activities and employment pathways within facilities and the community. Provide daily support including personal care, goal implementation, and community integration while ensuring client safety and dignity.
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities. Must possess a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

The Direct Support Professional will engage proactively as part of a team to assist clients with developmental disabilities in pursuing activities of their preference, both within all LOGAN facilities and in the community. Understanding the unique goals and interests of each supported client is crucial for a DSP in fulfilling their role effectively. A DSP should prioritize acknowledging and nurturing the skills and abilities of each client, emphasizing strengths rather than obstacles, especially in the context of those seeking employment opportunities.
Fulfilling the responsibilities of this job may result in contact with body fluids. LOGAN will provide training and offer Hepatitis B vaccination at no cost to the employee.
