Information: Monday- Friday, 5-8hr shifts, variable start time based on surgical schedule. Will most of the time be 630 start. 6am start occasionally or occasional late start to support later running OR's. Participation in OR Call and Holiday rotation required. Weekday Call starts at end of shift thru midnight. Weekend Call starts at 630am thru midnight. Holiday call starts at 630am thru midnight. You’ll Do: Deliver individualized care using the nursing process—assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans tailored to each patient’s needs. Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, mobilizing resources and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes. Promote patient safety by implementing risk-reduction strategies and reporting safety events promptly. Verifies patient identity, allergies, and surgical site Educate patients and families, adapting teaching methods to meet unique learning needs and supporting readiness for discharge. Coordinate care and discharge planning through an interdisciplinary approach, ensuring continuity across the healthcare continuum. Lead and delegate effectively, fostering teamwork and supporting unlicensed personnel. Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient experience and unit performance. Maintain professional growth through ongoing education, competency completion, and participation in shared governance activities. Patient Care - positioning of patient, maintains sterile and safe environment, prepares the OR with necessary supplies, time outs, checks for inventory, and documents all aspects of the procedure
