Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant (MA) to join our Pediatric healthcare team in downtown Plattsburgh. As an MA at Plattsburgh Primary Care Pediatrics, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting in the overall management of patient needs. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about healthcare and making a positive impact on the lives of others.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team
  • Assist with patient assessments and provide basic medical care
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Perform routine laboratory tests and collect samples for medical testing
  • Assist with medical procedures.
  • Document patient information accurately and maintain medical records

Experience

  • At least 2 years as an MA or CNA in a healthcare setting
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
  • Knowledge of laboratory procedures
  • Experience in acute care settings is preferred
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
