Registered Nurse - Open Heart ICU - Nights

Full time - 72 hours per pay period

Nights - 7pm-7am

Every 3rd weekend & holiday rotation required

Open Heart Intensive Care Unit (OHICU) is a 10-bed intensive care unit (ICU) that provides care to critically ill/postoperative cardiothoracic, cardiovascular, and general surgery patients 18 years and older. Procedures and care provided include, but are not limited to, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, patients recovering from open heart surgery, arrythmia monitoring and intervention, advanced cardiac life support, pacemaker/ICD management, IABP management, CRRT utilization, ventricular assist device (VAD) management, and ECMO

General Summary

Provides professional nursing care at the beginner practitioner level in accordance with the principles of patient and family-centered care based on the nursing process and according to the clinical standards of the hospital. Acts as a primary nurse for patients on the unit. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. May require specialized skills depending on unit assignment.
