The APP provides healthcare services for acute and chronic conditions, focusing on preventive health and patient counseling. Key duties include performing various bedside procedures such as biopsies and central line placements within an Interventional Radiology service.
Candidates must be a certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a Master's degree and valid Ohio licensure. While 0 years of experience is required, 1-2 years of experience in ICU, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Department is preferred.
The APP provides health care services to patients working in collaboration with a licensed physician member of the medical staff. Healthcare services provided include care during acute and chronic phases of illness, education, and counseling of individuals and families, health promotion and prevention, and referral to other healthcare providers and community resources when appropriate Minimum Qualifications · Current certificate of authority to practice as an APRN in the State of Ohio · Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program that qualifies the graduate to sit for the certification examination of a national certifying organization recognized by the Ohio Board of Nursing · Master of Science Degree in Nursing · 0 years of relevant experience required. · 1-2 years of ICU, IM or ED experience preferred. OR · Masters Prepared; Graduate of a PA-C program that qualifies the graduate to sit for the certification examination recognized by the National Certification Commission for Physician Assistants (NCCPA). · Eligibility for State of Ohio licensure as a PA-C · 0 years of relevant experience required. · 1-2 years of ICU, IM or ED experience preferred. This is a role with the bedside procedure and vascular access service. An APP led service that manages 6 bedside procedures across inpatient and outpatient services for the medical center. An exciting and autonomous service. Duties include: performing bone marrow biopsies, lumbar punctures, skin punch biopsies, paracentesis, thoracentesis and central line placement, as well as day of procedure management for procedures performed by our IR attendings. Four 10 hour shifts M-F, 7:30am-5:30pm.
