Responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care under the direction of licensed personnel. This includes facilitating daily living activities, providing physical and clerical support, and coordinating patient activity programs.
Requires American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and the ability to use electronic medical record charting. Training as a nursing assistant and 0-2 years of acute care experience are preferred.
Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital seeks a Patient Care Tech I for their Nursing Resources Unit department responsible for rendering direct and indirect patient care under direction of appropriate licensed personnel. Facilitates care to meet patient's daily living activity needs by providing physical and clerical support, coordinating activities, and communicating effectively. Provides personal self-care and activity programs to patients.
All job qualifications listed indicate the minimum level necessary to perform this job proficiently.
• Preferred: Training as a nursing assistant.
• Minimum: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Minimum: Ability to use computer charting (electronic medical record).
• Preferred: 0 to 2 yrs experience in acute care setting.
