The Monitor Technician is responsible for the continuous surveillance and interpretation of patient cardiac rhythms via telemetry monitors. They must promptly notify healthcare teams of arrhythmias and ensure all monitoring equipment is functional and correctly configured.
Candidates must have a BCLS certification and complete a telemetry or EKG interpretation course during orientation. 0-2 years of clinical or clerical experience in a medical setting is required.
