Assists physicians and clinicians with patient care duties, including recording vital signs and administering injections in an oncology environment. Manages clinical flow and performs administrative tasks such as scheduling and maintaining patient records.
Requires a high school diploma and BCLS certification, with a preference for a Medical Assistant certificate and phlebotomy experience. Candidates should have 0-5+ years of experience as a medical or nursing assistant.
High school graduate or equivalent required. A certificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants is preferred. 0-5 (+) years as a medical assistant or nursing assistant. Phlebotomy experience preferred. Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) certification is required. Certified Medical Assistant preferred. Some state regulations may require specific certifications to work as a Medical Assistant.
