Description We are seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) / Medical Technologist (MT) to support laboratory operations at the VA Maine Healthcare System in Augusta, Maine. This onsite position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality laboratory services that directly support Veteran patient care in a collaborative clinical environment.

Perform clinical laboratory testing in chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, serology, microbiology, and blood bank as assigned Process patient specimens and verify test results Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments Perform quality control and maintain required documentation Follow laboratory safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or related field Current MLS, MT, ASCP, AMT or equivalent certification Clinical laboratory experience in hospital or similar setting VA Credentialing/Background Screening Preferred Experience Generalist laboratory experience Experience with automated analyzers and laboratory information systems
