Home and Hospice Certified Nurse Assistant

Join University Home Care Inc as a Home and Hospice Certified Nurse Assistant, providing compassionate and dedicated care to patients in the Livonia, MI area. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those receiving home and hospice care by supporting their daily needs and assisting with medical tasks under the supervision of nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized care to patients in their homes, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Monitor and report changes in patients’ health conditions to nursing staff and supervisors timely.
• Assist with hospice care tasks respecting patients’ comfort and dignity in end-of-life situations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Follow all infection control and safety procedures in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Requirements

• Current certification as a Nurse Assistant (CNA) with experience in home health or hospice care preferred.
• Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation to travel to patient homes in Livonia, MI.
• Compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations for home and hospice care.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
