About the role

Facilitate a safe and secure environment for pediatric patients, families, and providers under the supervision of RNs. Maintain a clean, hazard-free environment and ensure clear communication regarding patient needs.

Under direct supervision this position is accountable to the bedside RN and charge nurse to facilitate a safe and secure environment for the patient, family and providers in the department in completion of the duties delegated to them for the shift and maintaining clear communication between the needs of the patient through the RN and Charge Nurse. These activities focus on maintaining a safe, hazard free, clean environment which facilitates patient focused care.

Up to $2,500 hiring bonus for eligible full-time external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

Hours: Full Time 36-hour per week; (3) 12-hour shifts weekly

Required Qualifications

  • Coursework/Training and Medical Terminology course Or Successful completion of hospital Medical terminology test within 90 days of hire.
  • Within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completed training as a Certified Nursing Assistant
  • 6 months of Health care experience.

Requirements

Requires coursework in medical terminology and BLS certification from the American Heart Association. CNA training and six months of healthcare experience are preferred.
