Mental Health Therapist - Part Time

Requirements

Provide assessment, referral, linkage, and intake services for prospective and current clients, including Family-Based Treatment for Eating Disorders program clients, as appropriate. Conduct diagnostic assessments and prepare timely, accurate clinical documentation and written summaries. Provide individual, family, and group counseling services. Deliver crisis intervention, stabilization, and case management services to at-risk youth and their families. In collaboration with the Director of Emotional Wellness Programs, the Development Team, the Clinical Director, and the Employee Assistance Program Manager, participate in community presentations and outreach activities. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community partners and other area service providers. Participate in clinical supervision with the Clinical Director at least bi-weekly. Attend and actively participate in weekly staff meetings. Engage in ongoing training, professional development, and staff development activities. Complete all required clinical, administrative, and statistical documentation in a timely manner. Meet established direct service expectations and maintain compliance with agency documentation standards. Perform other duties as assigned. Education, Skills, and Qualifications Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related mental health discipline from an accredited clinical program. Illinois licensure preferred (LSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC, AMFT, or LMFT). Demonstrated sensitivity to and respect for diverse cultural backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. Strong understanding of the behavioral dynamics of individuals, families, and groups. Working knowledge of the DSM-5-TR and mental health diagnostic practices. Knowledge of evidence-based approaches to assessment, crisis intervention, and counseling. Familiarity with community resources and referral processes. Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, and collaboration skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a clinical team. Additional Requirements Reliable transportation is required, as services may be provided at agency locations, community sites, schools, and clients' homes.
