Performs routine and specialized diagnostic radiology procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing diseases and injuries. Operates radiographic and mobile imaging equipment while ensuring patient safety and optimal image quality.
Requires a High School Diploma and California certifications for Radiologic Technology, Fluoroscopy, and Venipuncture. Must also possess Basic Life Support certification and the ability to perform general diagnostic duties.
Under the direction of the Imaging Services Director and Chief of Diagnostic Imaging, performs radiographic diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease and injuries. Operates the radiographic equipment to produce radiographic recorded images of the body. Performs technological functions to ensure optimal diagnostic quality of patient care utilizing efficient and safe processes.
