Perform and support laboratory testing activities across pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases. Ensure the accuracy and timely reporting of results while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Requires an Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a related field. A Bachelor's degree in science and previous clinical laboratory experience are preferred.
As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing and supporting laboratory testing activities throughout all phases of the testing process, including pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical procedures. You will help ensure the accuracy, reliability, and timely reporting of laboratory results while maintaining compliance with quality and regulatory standards. Essential Responsibilities Receive, process, and verify patient specimens Ensure proper specimen labeling, handling, storage, and preparation Perform laboratory testing according to established procedures Analyze and document quality control results Maintain, clean, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation Coordinate equipment service and repairs as needed Monitor test performance and ensure accurate result reporting Communicate critical laboratory results according to established protocols Assist providers, clients, and patients with laboratory-related questions Maintain laboratory records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement activities Support daily laboratory operations to ensure efficient workflow and exceptional patient service
Required: Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or related laboratory field; or equivalent education and training meeting applicable regulatory requirements Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a science-related field Previous clinical laboratory experience Schedule This is a part-time position working Monday through Friday, late afternoons into the evenings.
