Provide 24-hour on-site critical care for high-acuity cardiovascular patients, including those undergoing heart transplantation and those with advanced heart failure. Perform complex procedures such as vascular access, mechanical ventilation, and management of ECMO and LVADs.
Must be a licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in Georgia with a Master's degree for NPs. Preferred candidates have 3-5 years of experience in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU).
In this role: You will become competent in a multitude of critical procedures and management strategies to include vascular access and line placements, bedside US, mechanical ventilation, hemodynamics, and complex mechanical circulatory support including ECMO and LVADs. As a cardiovascular critical care APP, you will be part of a collaborative team who provide specialized care for patients pre and post cardiovascular surgery including heart transplantation, patients with advanced heart failure, cardiogenic shock, and other complex multi-organ problems. Minimum Requirements: PA: Graduate of a Physician Assistants program with current license for the Georgia State Composite Board or NP: Graduate from a school of nursing with current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Master’s degree in Nursing Preferred Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in the CVICU.
