The Lead Cardiovascular IR Technologist performs various technical and patient care services related to invasive cardiology and interventional radiology procedures. Our ‘Suite” team consists of expert Radiologists, Vascular Surgeons, Electrophysiologists, Interventional Cardiologists, Radiology technologists and Registered Nurses collaborating to provide innovative personalized care to our community.
Performs a variety of services to Cardiovascular IR Suite patients including technical and patient care as they relate to Invasive Cardiology, Endovascular Surgery, and Interventional Radiology.
The Lead Cardiovascular IR Technologist provides non clinical operational oversight related to radiation safety, imaging systems, equipmentmanagement, and regulatory compliance. This role ensures the department meets all safety, accreditation, and state licensing requirements whilesupporting efficient operational workflows.Provides day to day clinical leadership for the radiologic technologists within the cardiovascular IR suite. Ensures clinical excellence, staff competency,safe patient care, and seamless procedural support while serving as a primary clinical resource for physicians and staff.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent required Graduate of an approved school of Radiology Current cardiac catheterization experience of 1-2 years required or equivalent combination of relevant education or experience. Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and graduate from an approved technology program. A current state license, ARRT certification, and 1-2 years of cardiac catheterization experience are required.
