The Medical Assistant provides clinical support to providers by performing patient care procedures and recording medical histories. They also handle administrative tasks including appointment scheduling, insurance eligibility, and clinic inventory management.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and pass at least one exam from the National Commission for Certifying Agencies. Preferred experience includes 2+ years in the healthcare field and strong communication skills in English.
A Medical Assistant, or a Clinical Assistant, is responsible for assisting Providers in providing care to their patients. Their duties include recording and updating medical histories and contact information in patient files, scheduling patient appointments and performing standard care procedures like drawing blood, checking vitals, or collecting lab samples.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent to. Pass a minimum of one exam from the National Commission for Certifying Agencies.

Medical assistants are instrumental in helping patients feel at ease in the physician's office and often explain the physician's instructions.
