What You'll Do As a Certified Medical Assistant in our Walk-In and Urgent Care Clinic, you will be an essential member of the healthcare team providing efficient, compassionate care to patients of all ages.
Responsibilities include: Welcome and room patients while obtaining vital signs and health histories Prepare patients for examination and treatment Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments Administer medications, injections, immunizations, and other delegated clinical duties within scope of practice Perform point-of-care testing and specimen collection Assist with wound care, splinting, nebulizer treatments, and other urgent care procedures Prepare and maintain examination rooms, supplies, and equipment Educate patients regarding treatment plans and follow-up instructions Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record Coordinate referrals and assist with continuity of care activities Support quality improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives What You'll Bring High school diploma or equivalent Current Medical Assistant certification or registration Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant training program CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational and time-management abilities Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment Commitment to exceptional patient care and teamwork
