Provide medical nutrition therapy and develop individualized nutrition care plans for patients and families. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes and deliver tailored nutrition education.
Requires a degree in dietetics (Master's for those credentialed after Jan 1, 2024, or Bachelor's for those prior) and a valid state license as a Registered Dietitian. Preferred candidates have experience in acute clinical settings and specialized certifications in diabetes or nutrition support.
Provide medical nutrition therapy using the Nutrition Care Process (assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitoring, and evaluation) and document in the electronic medical record Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans, including diet modifications, supplements, nutrition support, and patient education Monitor patient progress using clinical indicators (labs, weight, outcomes) and adjust care plans accordingly Deliver nutrition education to patients, families, staff, and community using tailored materials and approaches Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, participate in rounds/meetings, and communicate with providers to optimize care Support training of staff, students, and new hires; contribute to policy updates and quality improvement initiatives
Education: After January 1, 2024 - Master’s degree in dietetics or degree that meets the requirements of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required. Individuals credentialed as Registered Dietitians prior to January 1, 2024, are eligible with a Bachelor’s degree in dietetics or degree that meets the requirements of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required. Successful completion of an internship coordinated undergraduate program, or post graduate program accredited by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics required.
