The CT Technologist performs imaging services according to professional standards while minimizing radiation exposure. They are responsible for responding to patient needs and collaborating with radiologists to provide quality care.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Radiology school and hold a State of FL Certified Radiologic Technologist license and ARRT(R) certification. BLS certification is required, while ARRT(CT) and Computer Tomography qualifications are preferred.
Under the direction of the Department Manager and in association with the radiologists, the technologist conducts themselves in a professional manner, responding to patient needs and supporting their colleagues and associates in providing quality patient care. The CT Technologist performs services in accordance to an accepted standard of practice and demonstrates expertise in minimizing radiation exposure to the patient, self and other members of the health care team.
