Speech Therapist

University Home Care Inc is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our team in Livonia, MI. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide expert speech therapy services to our patients in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, communication, and swallowing disorders in patients.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and caregivers to support patient progress.
• Document therapy sessions and patient progress accurately and timely.
• Educate patients and families about strategies and techniques to improve communication and swallowing abilities.
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.

Requirements

• Valid state license or certification to practice as a Speech Therapist.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
• Proven experience in speech therapy within a home care or clinical setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Reliable transportation to visit patients in their homes.
