Advance Practice Nurse (Toms River)

Position Summary

In collaboration with the Attending Physicians, the Nurse Practitioner will assess, diagnose, treat, and manage patients in DSP outpatient practice and inpatient practice. They will work with a team of providers, including cardiologists, nurses and technicians to evaluate and manage patients to help ensure then excellent patient care and satisfaction.

Experience

Required

At least 1 year experience in critical care or telemetry inpatient care.

Preferred

Cardiology experience, either as Advanced Practice Provider or in Nursing. Orientation will be customized based on experience

Education

Required

Masters degree or greater. Graduate from an ANA accredited School of Nursing.

License and Credentials

Required

Current New Jersey license as a Registered Nurse and Advance Practice Nurse Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse through a specialty association. Current BLS, ACLS, CDS and DEA licenses required. Approval of credentials and clinical privileges per DSP procedure.

Skills

Required

Proficiency with electronic health records and database management required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; computer proficient; well-organized, detail oriented and multitasking. Maintains a flexible schedule to ensure patient and staff needs are addressed/documented in a timely manner. Maintain required continuing education credits, current and completes required education for nurse practitioner recertification of 20 hours of category 1 contact hour/year. 50% of the overall credits per 5 years must be from an ANCC provider.

HOURS: Full-time 80 hours per pay period

The minimum starting salary for this position is $115k-$145K
