The physician will conduct psychiatric evaluations and provide medication management for adults in both outpatient and tele-psychiatry settings. Responsibilities include collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and participating in a 1:7 weekend call rotation for hospital consults.
Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in psychiatry and hold or be eligible for medical licenses in Missouri and Kansas. A doctorate degree is required, and fellowship training in Psychosomatic Medicine or Geriatric Psychiatry is desirable.
Saint Luke’s in Kansas City is seeking a BC/BE adult psychiatrist to join a well-established outpatient practice within Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City. This hybrid position offers a mix of in-clinic and remote workdays. About the position The physician will conduct evaluations for psychiatric conditions, substance and alcohol use disorders, social concerns, and related medical issues in both tele-psychiatry and outpatient settings, with a focus on outpatient adult psychiatry care Utilize evidence-based treatment approaches, including psychotropic medications and individual therapy Outpatient responsibilities include initial and follow-up mental health evaluations, medication management, and care delivered through a team-based model, with 36 hours of direct patient contact per week Strong referral base, with an average of 14 scheduled visits per day Work alongside a team of five physicians with strong support staff Collaborate closely with licensed therapists, psychologists, and neuropsychologists 1:7 weekend call rotation providing consult services at Saint Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City Extremely competitive career employment package that includes a guaranteed salary in addition to excellent benefits such as medical, dental, vision insurance, malpractice insurance, tax-deferred retirement plan with employer match, paid time off and a generous yearly allowance for CME Requirements: Must hold an active Missouri and Kansas medical license, or be eligible to obtain both Board certified or board eligible in psychiatry, with completion (or in progress) of an accredited psychiatry residency program Fellowship training or experience in Psychosomatic Medicine or Geriatric Psychiatry desirable About Saint Luke’s Saint Luke’s serves the West Region of BJC Health, one of the largest nonprofit health care organizations in the United States.
