The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating care for a group of adult patients in the Clinical Observation Unit using the nursing process. This includes delegating tasks, supervising staff, and providing protocol-based care for diagnoses such as chest pain and COPD.
Candidates must hold a current WV RN license, maintain CPR certification, and have an Associate's degree or diploma. A Bachelor's degree and specialty certification are preferred.

The Registered Professional Nurse is accountable for using the nursing process, delegating patient care tasks, supervision of other patient care staff, coordinating the care for a group of patients and consulting with other members of the health care team when indicated.
The Clinical Observation Unit can have a broad range of adult patients ambulatory and non-ambulatory, that meet initial criteria for observation. The department will serve to provide efficient protocol-based care to patients with well-defined diagnosis or presenting symptoms such as chest pain, COPD, asthma & congestive heart failure.
The shift will be determined by each hiring manager. The pay rate will be determined in accordance with the labor agreement.
