The Patient Care Technician provides high-quality, patient-centered care by assisting with activities of daily living and collecting patient data under nursing supervision. They are responsible for maintaining a safe, clean environment and ensuring effective communication within the healthcare team.
Candidates should ideally have 0-2 years of acute care experience or be currently enrolled in a nursing program. A BCLS certification is required within 90 days of hire, while CNA or CPCT certifications are preferred.
The Patient Care Technician (PCT) provides high-quality, patient-centered care by performing delegated tasks in alignment with the PCT's training and the department's needs. Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) (LVN at Texas facilities), the PCT supports patient care by assisting with activities of daily living, maintaining a safe and organized care environment, and ensuring effective communication within the healthcare team.
