Stipends

Description of program and training opportunities: Wayside Metro West Community Services serves a variety of people with serious emotional disturbances through community based interventions: Intensive Care Coordination, Mobile Crisis Intervention, In-Home Therapy, Family Support and Stabilization, Therapeutic Mentoring, Youth Support and Outpatient therapy. We utilize Wraparound, Motivational Interviewing and strength-based models of care to see families not only in the office but also in their homes and provide intensive wrap-around, family-centered, solution-focused treatment. As a member of the site team, interns will have the opportunity to work in collaboration with staff as well as independently with multi-stressed families across multiple settings.
Internship
Requirements: Intern must be available a minimum of 20 hours/week and have the ability to work two evenings a week. A background in health and human services or related field preferred. Second/final year interns only. Intern must have strong communication skills both written and verbal. Intern must be comfortable in a variety of settings including office, home visits and community meetings. Driving in the community is a requirement of this position; please ensure you have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle. CORI check and completion of Wayside’s Pre-service Orientation. Perform intakes, assessments, treatment plans/individual care plans, follow up care and on-going treatment. Weekly attend and participate in staff meeting and intern seminar. Coordinate care for families and individuals including seeking other services and resources as well as collaborating with a variety of systems and providers. About Wayside:
