The Occupational Therapist evaluates residents and develops individualized treatment plans to improve independence in activities of daily living and overall function. They provide direct therapeutic interventions and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Occupational Therapy program with a current state license and CPR certification. Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care settings is preferred but not required.

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating residents, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions that promote independence in activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, and overall function. Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (OTD, MOT, or BSOT). Current State Occupational Therapist license (or eligible). Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain). Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is preferred but not required. Passion for working with elderly and post-acute populations.
Key Responsibilities: Perform occupational therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans to address functional limitations. Provide direct treatment to residents to improve motor skills, coordination, cognitive function, and ability to perform ADLs. Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapy goals, adaptive techniques, and use of assistive devices. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care and optimal outcomes. Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and resident progress in accordance with regulatory and facility guidelines. Participate in discharge planning, care conferences, and team meetings as needed. Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and provide clinical guidance as appropriate.
