Act as a first-assist in various cardiothoracic surgical procedures and manage pre- and post-operative care within the ICU and acute care units. Perform daily patient rounds and provide outpatient clinic coverage and emergent surgical consults during call rotations.
First-assist in cardiothoracic surgical procedures including CABG, valve repair/replacement, aneurysm repair, and lung resections. Manage pre- and post-operative care in ICU and acute care inpatient units. Perform daily rounds on hospitalized surgical patients and provide necessary assessments and interventions. Provide limited outpatient clinic coverage (approximately 5% of time). Participate in call rotation (weeknight overnight call 5p–7a and weekend call) for emergent surgical consults and patient management.
Requires a Board Certified Nurse Practitioner with a WA license and specific experience in cardiothoracic surgery, including OR and ICU management. Candidates must be proficient in procedures such as CABG and valvular repair/replacement.
