A Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and a PGY1 residency are required, while a Pharm.D. and PGY2 are preferred. Candidates must hold a WV Board of Pharmacy license and have 1-2 years of inpatient hospital or informatics experience.
The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Infectious Diseases (ID) is responsible for providing direct patient care to individuals receiving antimicrobials. They will manage antimicrobial therapy to optimize clinical outcomes and lead hospital-wide stewardship initiatives. The responsibilities include real-time feedback on antimicrobial use, developing evidence-based guidelines, and collaborating with microbiology, nursing, and medical staff on quality improvement projects. Beyond clinical duties, you will mentor pharmacy residents and students.
