$18 - $20 / HOUR
Provide daily medical care and support to shelter animals to ensure they are healthy and prepared for adoption. Collaborate with veterinarians and the Shelter Medicine team to maintain medical records and administer prescribed treatments.
Requires a high school diploma and at least three years of animal care experience if not licensed. Candidates must be proficient in clinical tasks like venipuncture and injections, and be available for a flexible schedule including on-call rotations.
The Veterinary Technician plays a vital role in supporting Animal Friends’ mission by providing daily medical care and support to animals in our shelter. This position helps ensure animals receive appropriate treatment, are prepared for adoption, and experience safe, compassionate care throughout their stay. The role works closely with veterinarians and the Shelter Medicine team to support both medical outcomes and overall animal well-being.
