About the role

The Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, and implementation of care plans within the Maternal Child Health Float Pool. They will take primary responsibility for patient care delivered by the team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes.

This is a Full-Time (72 hours per pay period, every 2 weeks) position on a 12-hour NIGHT shift schedule working variable days of the week including weekends and holidays.

Position floats between Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla and Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas.

This position covers both Labor & Delivery and Post-Partum.

As a Registered Nurse for the Maternal Child Health Float Pool team, you will provide direct patient care within the scope of his/her practice.

In addition… · Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. · The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision. · Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

Preferred Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification/Education

  • · Bachelor’s degree in nursing. · EPIC experience. · RNC-OB.

  • Skills: · 1 year experience in Labor & Delivery AND Post-Partum · Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English. · Excellent interpersonal skills. · Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.

Requirements

Candidates must have at least one year of experience in both Labor & Delivery and Post-Partum, along with a current California RN license. Required certifications include BLS-C, Advanced NRP, and Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring.
