The Role

Vascular Sonography Technologist - Per Diem

Are you a skilled Vascular Sonographer searching for a role that offers flexibility, income supplementation, and a balanced work-life blend? Embrace the possibilities with our Per Diem Vascular Sonographer position at MaineGeneral Health.

The Work

Perform clinical vascular diagnostic services

Gather an accurate and comprehensive patient history and ensure thorough documentation

Verify patient identification, and assess clinical symptoms, historical information, and overall physical condition to determine relevance to the requested ultrasound exam

Interpret examination results and promptly report emergent findings to referring physicians

Display a commitment to professional growth and competence by participating in educational functions within the department, including training

Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills when interacting with patients, families, referring physicians and staff, nursing unit personnel, and medical center departments

You Have

Vascular technology training beyond high school or an Associate degree

Registered as a Vascular Technologist (RVT) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or registered as a Vascular Specialist (RVS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) within 1 year of graduating from a vascular sonography program

1 or more years of previous experience with a variety of modalities including extra cranial, venous, peripheral arterial, and visceral

Compensation information

$34.88 - $61.04

The hourly pay range shown represents the base pay range for this position. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base pay, eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift, weekend, holiday, on-call, and other applicable differentials.
