The Utah Department of Health and Human Services is seeking a dependable, organized and dedicated Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (APRN) or Physician Assistant for the Correctional Facility in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Minimum or "day-one" qualifications: Masters in nursing for medical. Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse/Physician Assistant license in the State of Utah, or able to obtain State NP/PA & DEA license I prior to start. A Controlled Substance license and a DEA certification with no disciplinary action. Can pass a drug test and background check. Preferred or trainable/on-the-job qualifications: Instructional methods and techniques. Identify developmental needs of others and coach, mentor, or otherwise help others to improve their knowledge, skills, and abilities. Provide consultation and/or expert advice or testimony. Evaluate information against a set of standards. Work with or contribute to a work group or team to complete assigned task(s). Develop and maintain applicable professional contacts, resources, and /or networks. Principles, theories, and practices of nursing. Agency and/or organizational program(s). Agency objectives, organization, structure, and mission. Follow and apply treatment plans as developed by a licensed professional. Assess physical, mental, social, and/or economic needs. Arrange, coordinate, or schedule time and details. Coordinate the activities or tasks of people, groups, and/or organization(s).
