Registered Nurse (RN) - OR - Circulator - Surgery Center

Position overview

• Responsible to plan, implement, and evaluate care for surgical patients.
• Ensures patient care, safety standards, and documentation is carried out according to AORN standards, recommended practices, and guidelines.
• Receives direction from: Providers, Anesthesia providers, Nurse Manager.
• Gives direction to: Surgical Technician, Instrument Technician, Materials Mgmt.
• Clerk.
• Call required.

Education

• Degree from an Accredited Nursing program

Experience

• Previous O.R. experience preferred

License/Certifications

• MT RN Licensure
• ACLS
• PALS
• CNOR desired

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Basic Nursing Principles and Procedures.
• Principles of Asepsis.
• Basic Office Skills – computer and keyboarding.
• Ability to act as a Scrub Nurse
