About the role

The Pain Management Technician supports physicians and RNs by preparing and maintaining instruments and equipment while ensuring a sterile field during procedures. Additional duties include assisting in the PACU Nerve Block area and performing Patient Care Technician roles in Pre/Post departments.

The Pain Management Technician provides support for physicians and RN's throughout pain procedures by preparing, providing and caring for instruments and equipment, and maintaining a sterile field. Other duties may include floating to PACU Nerve Block area to assist RN with sterile tray set up for nerve block procedures or assisting in a Patient Care Technician role in Pre/Post Department.

Requirements

Candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Required knowledge includes aseptic techniques, pain procedure instrumentation, and the ability to wear lead apron protection.
