The Certified Medical Assistant provides clinical support, including preparing patients for examinations and performing various medical tests and procedures. They also handle care coordination, scheduling, and administrative tasks within a physician practice office.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and completion of a qualified Certified or Registered Medical Assistant course. Required certifications include CMA/RMA and Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
The Certified Medical Assistant assists in preparation for patient care, provides care coordination, clinical documentation, and other clinical support functions in a physician practice office setting.
