The Senior Histotechnologist processes surgical specimens for pathologic diagnosis through fixation, microtomy, and various staining techniques. They also oversee daily laboratory activities, ensure regulatory compliance, and train new staff.
Requires a bachelor's degree or an associate degree with additional experience, and graduation from an approved school of Histotechnology. Candidates must have three years of laboratory experience and be HT or HTL certified (or eligible).

The Hisotechnologist, Sr. processes surgical specimens for pathologic diagnosis, including tissue fixation, processing, microtomy, and staining slides for microscopic examination by the Pathologist. Performs related special staining techniques, which may include immunohistochemical, immunoflourescent, and enzymehistochemical stains. Documents all quality control and preventive maintenance procedures performed
