Veterinary Technician

Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT) Full-Time | Small Animal & Exotics Location: Allentown, PA Pay: $24–$27/hour (Based on Experience)

Allentown Animal Care is seeking a skilled and compassionate Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our growing team. Our hospital provides comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care for a diverse patient population, including dogs, cats, rabbits, pocket pets, reptiles, and birds. We are committed to delivering exceptional patient care while maintaining a supportive, team-oriented culture.

• What You'll Do
• Monitor anesthesia for surgical and dental procedures
• Provide exceptional nursing care and patient treatment
• Assist with exotic animal handling, diagnostics, and procedures
• Perform dental prophylaxis and obtain high-quality dental radiographs
• Support veterinarians during surgery and advanced medical procedures
• Educate clients on treatment plans, preventive care, and patient wellness
• Help maintain AAHA-level standards of patient care and hospital protocols
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment

• What We're Looking For
• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT)
• Minimum 3 years of veterinary technician experience
• Strong anesthesia monitoring and patient nursing skills
• Experience with dental x-ray and cleaning
• Knowledge of AAHA standards and best practices
• Experience working with exotic species preferred
• Surgical assistance experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Team-focused mindset with leadership potential
