Experiential Facilitators at Charlie Health support our clients through the use of various expressive tools, hands-on activities, and immersive experiences and believe that healing occurs in the experience itself. Through experience and action, we are able to connect with hard to reach feelings, learn healthy coping skills, and re-enact emotional experiences in order to have new and more adequate responses to situations. Some of the modalities we want to incorporate into our psycho-education groups are: Experiential Practice Adventure, Wilderness, Eco, and Nature-Based Practice Recreation Based Practice Psychodrama Sociometry Expressive Communications Play Practice Gestalt Theory Oriented Practices Poetry and Narrative Practice Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) Internal Family Systems (IFS) Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (Requires AEDP Certification) Somatic Experiencing Experiential Education & Learning Charlie Health is hiring a few exceptional Experiential Facilitator to provide remote, Telehealth services to our clients. We’re eager to work with forward-thinking mental health and substance use professionals to enhance our programming and provide the best possible care to our clients. This is a contract / 1099 position that allows you the flexibility to schedule sessions and work wherever you are most comfortable. We request that our facilitators are able to dedicate at minimum 9 hours per week to facilitate group sessions and build valuable connections with our clients. People know Charlie Health for our warm and empathetic team. While each individual facilitator has their own interests, expertise, and style, we require all team members to be well versed in a variety of therapeutic modalities. Our clients are struggling to cope with underlying mental health issues and benefit from facilitators that are sophisticated and relational. Successful candidates are committed to bettering the mental health of their clients, and are adept at self-care, ensuring they are prepared to give their best every day to address the rural mental health crisis. This position reports to the Director of Experiential Programming. About You Creative, innovative, interdisciplinary, and integrative in your approach to mental health care Able to demonstrate expertise in your experiential modality and feel confident integrating them into your treatment approach Comfortable working with a wide range of ages, including children, teens, young adults, and adults. Passionate about the benefits of group practices and skilled in conducting group sessions virtually Ability to work effectively in a team Creative and engaging, especially over video! Must have availability weekday evenings in order to meet the schedules of our clients
Facilitate weekly group psycho-education via Telehealth Develop creative ways to conduct experiential group treatment virtually Assist with the creation of experiential therapy curriculum by submitting weekly group session plans Contribute to treatment team, group supervision, and curriculum planning meetings Ensure your clinical services are delivered in accordance with recognized best practices Continuously further your knowledge of a psychosocial functioning of groups Use thoughtful risk management Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, staff, families, agencies, and referents Complete documentation in a timely manner and be accurate and well-written. Maintain and model professional ethics, including appropriate boundaries and confidentiality
Licensed mental health professional preferred Experience working with a wide range of ages, including children, teens, young adults, and adults clients Master’s degree in mental health or related field Experience and training in your experiential modality (all disciplines are welcome to apply) including, but not limited to: adventure, experiential, expressive therapy, creative therapy, recreation therapy, narrative therapy, play therapy, sociometry, or psychodrama Technical ability to run effective Telehealth sessions Reliable WiFi connection when meeting with clients Familiarity with and willingness to use cloud-based communication software—Gmail, Slack, Zoom, Dropbox–in addition to EMR and outcomes survey software on a daily basis Work authorized in the United States and native or bilingual English proficiency 1099 position At least 9 hours total availability needed a week, including availability at least 2 nights a week from 3-9pm MST Monday - Thursday
