Participate in and co-facilitate group, individual, and family therapy sessions for high-acuity clients under clinical supervision. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to provide coordinated, evidence-based behavioral health treatment in a virtual setting.
Must be a second-year master's student in Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field. Requires prior clinical experience and an interest in working with high-acuity populations using trauma-informed care.
Charlie Health is seeking passionate and driven second-year master’s students in mental health programs (such as Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related fields) to join our dynamic virtual care team for their clinical practicum or internship experience. As a clinical practicum student at Charlie Health, you’ll gain direct experience working with high-acuity clients in a virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) setting. Under the close supervision of one of our experienced therapists, you’ll develop your clinical skills through a variety of client interactions and treatment modalities. Enrollment in a master’s-level program in Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related discipline (see list below for examples) Students should be in the second year of their master’s program by the time the practicum or internship begins, meeting eligibility requirements to start clinical hours. Prior clinical experience (internship, practicum, part-time or full-time) Interest in working with high-acuity populations and providing trauma-informed care Strong communication and organizational skills Note: Charlie Health cannot guarantee that our internship program meets specific school, college, or university requirements. Please check with the staff at your institution to confirm Charlie Health will satisfy all requirements. We are happy to review specific institution requirements and have a team of licensed, multidisciplinary, staff who are able to supervise in the majority of our active states. Internship placements are contingent on the availability of clinical supervisors licensed in your state.
