The Family Nurse Practitioner conducts physicals, medical evaluations, and diagnostics while treating illnesses and prescribing medications. They are responsible for patient education on preventative care and coordinating specialty care referrals within an integrated setting.
Candidates must hold an MSN or DNP in Family Medicine and possess a valid Arizona NP license, DEA license, and BLS certification. Additional requirements include a valid driver's license and an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card.
MSN: $57,500-$62,000 DOE; DNP: $64,500-$65,000 Additional Language Differential Pay Available: Spanish, Vietnamese, Korean, Arabic, Farsi, Swahili or ASL: $3/hour The Primary Care Provider conducts physicals/check-ups, medical evaluations, diagnostics, treats illnesses, orders lab tests, provides general and preventative care, prescribes and monitors medications, coordinates with other providers, makes specialty care referrals, educates patients about preventative care, establishes therapeutic relationships with a variety of patients for the purpose of establishing and reaching appropriate treatment goals, within the context of an integrated setting. Duties include: Performs independently or as a part of a treatment team. Conducts physicals/check-ups, evaluations, diagnostics, treats illnesses, orders lab tests, general and preventative care, medication prescribing and monitoring, and individual treatment and case consultation. Performs the important task of educating patients about preventative care, wellness activities and prescribed treatments. Provides leadership and cohesion within the clinic environment, and may provide direct supervision to other professional and/or non- professional medical staff, and students. Participates in program evaluation procedures and professional record keeping, makes referrals appropriately for specialty and behavioral health care. Must pass a Background Check, TB Test and Drug Screen. Proficient using computer-based systems including electronic health records (NextGen preferred), Microsoft Outlook, and other Microsoft Office products.
