Provide direct respiratory care and therapy to neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients as part of a critical care team. Responsibilities include performing assessments, administering treatments like mechanical ventilation, and conducting blood gas analysis.
Requires a graduate degree from an RCAB-approved school of Respiratory Care and a valid California Respiratory Care Practitioner License. Candidates must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist or registry eligible with one year of current experience and BLS certification.
Demonstrates an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional, and chronological maturation process in delivering services to patients of the age group served. Able to assess data reflective of the patients status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patients requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs and to provide the care needed in accordance with department policy.
