The Phlebotomist is responsible for the accurate and safe retrieval of patient specimens for laboratory testing. They must maintain professional communication and contribute to process improvement initiatives within Laboratory Services.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and a phlebotomy certification from ASCP, NHA, or a nationally accredited agency. BLS certification and one year of acute hospital experience are preferred.
The Phlebotomist I is a vital member of our Laboratory Services team, serving patients by ensuring the accurate and safe retrieval of specimens for laboratory testing.
