The role involves receiving and preparing specimens and performing moderate to high complexity clinical laboratory procedures. Responsibilities also include conducting quality control, calibrating equipment, and maintaining patient confidentiality.
A Bachelor of Science degree and a Louisiana License as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist-Generalist are required. National Board Certification (ASCP) as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist is preferred.
Bachelor of Science degree required. Current or Temporary Louisiana License as Clinical Laboratory Scientist-Generalist (CLS-G). National Board Certification, ASCP preferred, as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must possess good physical health. Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time. Lifting at least 50 pounds is required, with exception of lifting overhead - weight limited to up to 10 pounds. Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
